Chana Dal Salad  with  Honey Ginger Dressing

Chana dal salad is a sweet and spicy Indian salad recipe with yellow lentils and fresh ginger lemon dressing.

A quick and easy yellow lentil salad with a delicious honey ginger dressing that’s a perfect addition to your healthy meal plan for weight loss!

Cook lentils with turmeric and salt. For the dressing, whisk grated ginger, pepper flakes, chaat masala, lemon juice, honey, salt, and olive oil for dressing.

Add the spicy honey ginger dressing to cooked lentils. It is better to add the dressing when the lentils are still warm,.

Warm lentils absorb dressing like a charm!  Mix until the dressing is well incorporated with lentils.

Add any salad vegetables of your choice (onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, green mango, cucumber and coriander leaves.) Toss again!

This yellow lentil salad is made with carrots, green mango, cucumber and cilantro drizzled with the same ginger lemon dressing.

This red lentil salad is made with red lentils (also called masoor dal),  tomatoes, green mango, cucumber and cilantro.
