This creamy avocado dressing with yogurt is fresh, flavorful, and completely oil-free. Made with avocado, Greek yogurt, fresh herbs, jalapeño, garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest, it comes together in just 10 minutes. Perfect for salads, grain bowls, wraps, and roasted vegetables.
Roughly chop 2 jalapeno peppers, ½ cup chopped Italian parsley with stems, ½ cup mint leaves and ¼ cup fresh basil.
Place the minced garlic and chopped jalapeños and herbs in a food processor.
Add 1 teaspoon lemon zest, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt, 1 teaspoon fine sea salt and ½ teaspoon black pepper.
Blend
Blend the ingredients until you get a coarse texture.
Peel and halve 1 avocado. Add it with ¼ cup of water to the processor. Blend, adding more water, a little at a time until you get the desired consistency.
Serve
Serve as a creamy salad dressing, dipping sauce or sandwich spread.

Notes
Refrigerate: This homemade dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for a week. Store in a clean and dry airtight container or jar.
Freeze: If you want to store the dressing longer, freeze it. It keeps in the freezer for about a month. Thaw it overnight in the refrigerator when you're ready to use. If the sauce separates, whisk or pulse in the processor to make it smooth again.
Texture of the dressing: If you want the sauce to be very smooth and silky, I recommend using a high-speed blender. A large food processor might not be able to blend the sauce very smooth, especially when you're making a small batch.
