yogurt
lemon juice
Kashmiri chilli powder
garam masala
ground cumin
melted butter
salmon fillets
oil
coriander powder
turmeric
salt
pepper
Heat mustard oil in a small pan and add to the chilli powder. Let the mixture cool down.
Add the rest of the ingredients: coriander, cumin, garam masala, salt, pepper, yogurt and lemon juice. Mix well until you get a smooth marinade.
Remove skin and bones, if any, from the salmon fillets and chop them into 2-inch pieces. Add the tandoori marinade and mix well.
Marinate the salmon cubes in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes. They can be marinated for up to 5 hours.
Place salmon cubes in a baking tray and baste them with melted butter, ghee or oil. Roast in the oven at 200°C/ 390°F for 5 minutes!
Remove from the oven. Transfer to a serving dish immediately. This tandoori salmon recipe gets the signature bright-orange "tandoori" look and smoky flavor using natural healthy ingredients.
Serve with mint yogurt sauce as an appetizer. Or with flavored rice or rice and curry.
A quick salmon dinner for busy and hungry weeknights!
