Delicious mutton gravy recipe that doesn't require long hours of marinating/ cooking!
This easy recipe shows you how to make mutton curry (goat masala) in a pressure cooker without stressing out in the kitchen!
Toss bite-sized mutton pieces with mutton masala spice mix: chili, coriander, turmeric, cumin and salt.
Step 1: Add Spices
Finely chop onions and tomatoes. Grate ginger and garlic. Add them to the seasoned mutton pieces. Mix everything together and place in a pressure cooker.
Cook on high until it reaches high pressure. After the first whistle, reduce the flame and simmer for 40 minutes.
Step 2: Pressure-cook
The mutton will cook in its own juices making it very flavorful. When you open the cooker, you'll find that the meat almost falls apart!
Heat oil in a wok or pan. Transfer the contents of the pressure cooker. Add black pepper and garam masala. Simmer the gravy until thick and you get an irresistible aroma.
Step 3: Saute the gravy
Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan. Fry a handful of curry leaves until they become crisp and aromatic.
Step 4: Garnish
Garnish your mutton gravy with the roasted curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves. Optionally, you can add roasted cashews and drizzle some lime juice.
