This smoky paprika hummus is a healthy vegan dip made with chickpeas, garlic, lemon & smoked paprika.
A simple hummus with paprika and roasted garlic that gives a creamy, bold flavor! Great as a snack, spread, or appetizer.
Chop garlic and roast them in olive oil on low heat until golden.
Roast garlic
In a food processor, add roasted garlic, tahini, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt and lemon juice.
Blend
Pulse a few times until all the ingredients are chopped up into smaller chunks. Drain the chickpeas and add to the processor.
Blend until you get an almost smooth mixture. While the processor is running, slowly add extra virgin olive oil.
Slowly add chickpea water while the processor is still running. Alternate between spoons of olive oil and chickpea water until you get a creamy hummus.
Garnish with more smoked paprika, extra virgin olive oil, sumac and parsley. You can also get more creative with toppings like toasted nuts and seeds.
