This creamy sauce is my secret weapon for adding depth and richness to pasta, veggies, and protein.
This roasted garlic spaghetti sauce comes together in about 30 minutes. Secret ingredient: Browned bits of garlic!
Cut off the tail ends of whole garlic bulbs. Sprinkle olive oil, cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper.
Step 1: Prep Garlic
Wrap the garlic heads and the cut-off garlic bits in aluminum foil. Roast in the oven. Open the foil and squeeze out the juicy garlic.
Step 2: Roast garlic
Place the garlic in a food processor with cashews, dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, honey, salt and black pepper.
Step 3: Blend
Blend. While the processor is running, slowly add olive oil and pasta water until you get a smooth sauce.
Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 4-5 days. Freeze for up to 3 months for longer storage.
