Let’s see how to make this easy vinaigrette:

Ingredients

(You can find the exact measurements and instructions in the printable recipe card at the end of this page. Here are step-by-step instructions with pictures to help you easily understand the recipe.)

Labelled ingredients for sun dried tomato vinaigrette.
  • Sun dried tomatoes: I prefer the ones preserved in oil since they are soft and moist. They emulsify when blended, making it perfect for salad dressing. (That’s what makes the creamy pesto dressing so delicious, too.)
  • Balsamic vinegar and lemon juice for zesty flavors
  • Honey to balance the spice and tartness
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Other flavor-makers: garlic, dried basil, cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt.
  • Secret ingredient: lemon zest that adds to the lemony flavor without overpowering the vinaigrette with tartness.

How to make sun dried tomato salad dressing

This vinaigrette is as easy as dumping all the ingredients into a blender (or food processor), and blending until smooth and creamy.

Store the blended vinaigrette in a clean airtight container in the refrigerator and use as and when required.
